Methodist Children's Home seeks a Case Manager to provide social services to children, youth, and families in alignment with the MCH Model of Care. The role requires maturity to work with families facing challenging situations, a strong foundation in TBRI, and collaboration with caregivers and professionals.
The position involves home visits, community work, and evening/weekend responsibilities with travel as needed.
The Case Manager is responsible for providingsocial services to children, youth and families that are consistent with theMCH Model of Care and ensuring a safe, caring and therapeutic environment forthose served. This position requires the intellectual and emotionalmaturity to work with families who are experiencing difficulty in providingappropriate care for the children in their home and children who havebehavioral issues, developmental delays and mental health needs. This positionalso requires respect and compassionate understanding for these children andtheir families, and the ability to form effective working relationships withchildren, parents and other caregivers. CaseManagers must have a thorough understanding of and demonstrated competency inthe Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and other evidence-basedprograms offered in the assigned area. The Case Manager must maintain a healthyvalue system, including moral and ethical behavior consistent with the agency'smission and core values.
This is aprofessional position that may require more hours than the normal 40-hour workweek.This position involves providing services in the client's home and extensivework in the community. Responsibilitiesinclude work in the evenings and on weekends. This position requires theability to serve in an on-call capacity and respond to emergencies after officehours. Out of town and overnight travel are also required. An automobile for intown and out of town travel is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided foruse of personal automobile for approved business purposes. A technology stipend isprovided to support the communication requirements of this position.
A Bachelor's Degreein Social Work or related field is required with a Master's Degreepreferred. Relevant experience inprograms and services offered by MCH is preferred.
Training hours mustbe completed annually to comply with licensing and accreditation standards, aswell as MCH policy. The employee's supervisor may require additional trainingto meet specific job requirements or enhance professional growth. Completion oftraining requirements is mandatory for continued employment.
The Case Manager mustbe at least 21 years of age and have a valid Driver's License, an excellentdriving record that meets the standards set forth by the liability insurancecompany and Methodist Children's Home, no criminal history and acceptablereferences.
