Job summary

Rosecrance Behavioral Health in Rockford, IL is seeking dedicated clinicians to provide individual, family, and group counseling within a continuum of behavioral health services. You will contribute to recovery goals and deliver evidence-based therapies in a safe, supportive environment.

The role offers a 40-hour week, with on-site hours, a starting base pay of $46,800 per year plus annual licensure or certification bonuses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or related field.
  • Must qualify as MHP or QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements.
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency; able to document in the EHR.
  • Ability to complete documentation within prescribed time frames.
  • Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling.
  • Ability to present lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently; team-oriented.
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and problem-solve with staff regarding clinical practices.

  • Coordinate services from community resources.

Position Purpose

Provides mental health rehabilitation services to clients and families to decrease hospitalization, crisis episodes, and to increase community functioning in order for the client to achieve rehabilitative, resiliency and recovery goals. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of mental health services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.

Sign on bonus available!

$3,000 for non-licensed $4,000 for 1st or 2nd level license

Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field, or equivalent experience and training
  • Must qualify as a MHP or QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements (designated positions),
  • Must have own transportation (designated positions)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills,
  • Computer proficiency required,
  • Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record,
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames
  • Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling,
  • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources,
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently,
  • Ability to work within a team,

Job Responsibilities
  • Work hours prescribed by and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  • Ability to motivate and problem solve with staff regarding effective clinical practices.
  • Ability to be self-motived, seek improved performance, problem solving while meeting the complex needs of the clients and their families.
  • Skills to adapt verbal and written communication to the language and style of the client and their family.
  • Complete all necessary documentation with in the appropriate time lines.
  • Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
  • Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.
  • Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, process, and discharge plans).
  • Ability to coordinate services from a variety of community resources
  • Utilize a variety of treatment concepts, evidence based practices and service modalities when providing care.
  • Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups as needed.
  • Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.
  • Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  • Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Ethics and within the framework of the law.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  • Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management
Schedule

Full- time; 8-hour shifts; 40 hour work week

Compensation & Rewards
  • Base Pay: Starting at $46,800/year (pay is based on education, experience, and credentials)
  • Additional Pay Enhancements in addition to Base Salary:
    • Professional Certification (e.g., CADC, CRSS, CPS): $1,500 annually
    • Clinical Licensure (e.g., LPC/LSW/LMSW, LCPC/LCSW/LMHC): $1,800 – $5,000 annually
