The Culinary Platform Attendant will organize, prepare, and supply various food items for salad bars, cold and hot food stations, and to-order services in one of the Residential Dining Halls. Responsibilities include assisting cooks, combining ingredients, portioning, serving, and maintaining proper food handling and storage techniques to prevent waste and spoilage. The role involves working with a diverse workforce and directly engaging with customers. Position location: Case Hall.
All RHS positions are critical. In case of university closure due to weather or emergencies, employees are expected to report to work as scheduled or work remotely if approved, to serve the MSU community.
Ability to anticipate service needs and customer demands, with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
Employment is full-time, with work hours Monday-Thursday 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., with alternating weekends off. Location: Case Hall.
Physical demands include occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
