Job summary

The Charles Evans Center (CEC) in Seaford, NY is seeking a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) for a part-time role.

You will provide case management, counseling, and advocacy within an OASAS program, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, develop educational topics, and maintain detailed records.

Requirements include NYS OASAS CASAC certification, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, and at least one year of related experience, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be certified by NYS OASAS as a CASAC.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience working with chemical dependency and/or mental health, including group experience.
• Maintains yearly educational requirements for timely renewal of OASAS credential.

Responsibilities

Part-time: 10 hours per week (day/evening availability required)

Salary: $27-31/hour

Location: Seaford, NY

In this position, you will:
