Job summary

Ocean Mist Farms is seeking a Carton Yard Loader to support loading, receiving, and inventory control. Under general supervision, you will load supplies from field trucks and suppliers and scan inventory with THORs mounted computers to keep on-hand data accurate and up to date.

The position requires forklift experience, basic computer literacy, math and English reading skills, and preferred bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of agriculture experience in cooling, receiving and shipping preferred.
• At least 1 year forklift experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; continuing education may be required.
• Basic computer and warehouse inventory system knowledge preferred.
• Basic math and English reading skills required.
• RF handheld devices experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and receive field trucks with supplies promptly.
• Receive supplies from suppliers promptly.
• Rotate inventory and notify supervisor when quantities are low.
• Maintain inventory accuracy using mounted computers (THORs).
• Assist with daily/monthly inventory counts.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO.
• Relocate unused supplies to proper inventory locations.
• Keep work area clean.
• Complete daily equipment check lists.
• Attend safety meetings and adapt to schedule changes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $17.12 To $22.88 Hourly

The Carton Yard Loader will work under general supervision and is responsible for loading and receiving supplies from field trucks and/or suppliers. In addition, they will scan and maintain inventory on their mounted computers (THORs) to ensure most up to date on hand inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and receive field trucks with supplies in a timely manner
• Receive supplies from suppliers in a timely manner
• Ensure supplies are properly rotated and notify supervisor when supply qtys. are low
• Maintain inventory qtys. are accurate with use of their mounted computers
• Assist with daily and/or monthly inventory counts
• Rotate inventory i.e. FIFO
• Ensure all unused, returned supplies are relocated to their proper inventory location
• Ensure assigned work area is clean
• Fill out daily equipment check list
• Adhere to assigned work schedule and be flexible to all possible schedule changes as neededAttend monthly safety meeting(s)
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in agriculture cooling, receiving and shipping is preferred
• Minimum one year operating and driving forklift experience is required
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, c ontinuing education may be required
• Basic knowledge of computers and warehouse inventory systems is preferred
• Basic math and English reading skills is required
• Able to correctly use radio frequency handheld devices is preferred
• Bilingual skills in English/Spanish always a plus
