Job Title: Cart Barn/Bag Room Personnel

Reports To: Director of Golf

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Role Description

Provide a high level of customer service to the golf membership from the moment they come in to the point they leave. Service and care for all golf equipment and property. Execute all duties with enthusiasm and sincerity. Weekend availability is a must so please do not apply if you are not available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Duties and Responsibilities
Driving Range
  1. Set up ropes, bag stands, towels, and balls in appropriate area (to be determined by supervisor).
  2. Ensure entire tee-line, chipping area, and putting area are kept clean at all times.
  3. Prior to picking up balls, be sure all hitting area ball baskets have been refilled.
  4. As a general rule, fill one trashcan with balls before going back to wash balls. This is to be done only if time permits. Be sure to keep an eye on the tee-line while picking up the balls.
  5. Return to tee-line, check to make sure all members are taken car of. Clean clubs as time permits.
  6. Report procedures 1 5 until relived by supervisor or another employee.
Individuals work in the parking lot area
  • Individuals will work in the parking lot area. Responsibilities are to pick up players and bags with their respective group and to ensure the parking lot area is cleaned and picked up.
  • Carts are the main revenue for The San Antonio Country Club. Keeping them clean and properly charged is a major contributing factor to the overall perception of the Club.
  • Opening Procedures:
  1. Ensure carts have been charged
  2. Ensure carts are cleaned and wiped down.
  3. Ensure sand bottles are filled.
  4. Ensure towels are in carts.
  5. Carts should be lined up in numerical order and loaded in order.
Closing Procedures
  1. Clean all trash from carts.
  2. Wash and wipe down any dirty carts.
  3. Ensure each cart is parked in appropriate slot.
  4. Ensure plugs are in all the way, listen for the "click" and watch the needle move before going to the next cart.

At the discretion of the supervisor, any part of the opening/closing procedures may change depending on the situation and needs of the Club.

Bag Room: Procedures
  1. One person will stay in the bag room during each shift.
  2. Each bag will be checked out prior to pre-loading.
  3. Periodic inventory will be taken on bags, at request of the supervisor.
  4. Each bag will be checked in immediately following play.
  5. Clubs must be wiped down before placing in appropriate space.
  6. Bags will be wiped down before placing in appropriate space.
  7. Any additions or deletions from bag storage must be reported immediately to pro shop.
  • Performs all other duties as directed by supervisor or manager of the Club.
