Job summary

Meijer in Lansing is hiring an entry-level Courtesy Team Member to support store operations, assist customers, stock, and keep the store clean and safe. You’ll interact with customers and coworkers, delivering above-and-beyond service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll rotate through tasks with departments like Health and Beauty Care, Home, and Grocery, learning valuable retail skills and customer service, with Meijer Rewards benefits and development programs to help your career grow.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organized with attention to detail.
• Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, yard, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment when needed.
• Process perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Work with departments across Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
