Job summary

Sam's Club in Houma, LA is seeking a cart attendant to help shape the member shopping experience by keeping the parking lot and carts ready, assisting with purchases, and loading items into vehicles. You will be on your feet in a fast-paced environment delivering friendly service in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include responding to member needs, processing purchases, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and supporting various club operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures club pick up orders are filled by contacting members to notify when pickup time is delayed; informs members when products are unavailable; offers alternative options; ensures items are dispensed when members arrive for pickup; resolves member issues; promotes the company's products and services.
• Maintains safety of facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps; follows procedures for handling merchandise; and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
• Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; assists members with purchasing decisions; processes member purchases; assists with payments according to company policies; uses cash registers for transactions; locates and organizes merchandise; zones designated areas; resolves member issues; promotes products and services; ensures carts/flatbeds are available; assists with transporting items; uses cart retrieval equipment; maintains parking lot cleanliness.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; uses the Open Door Policy; and applies these in executing business processes and practices.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; seeks improvements and adapts to change.
