Job summary

Meijer is seeking entry-level team members to support a variety of retail tasks across our store, with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Team members will engage in cart retrieval, store cleaning, and collaboration with departments like Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, and Fashion. The role emphasizes friendly service, safety, and a willingness to help customers above and beyond expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and team members at the service desk and checkout areas.
• Keep store areas clean and organized, including restrooms and common spaces.
• Assist with cart retrieval and parking lot maintenance.
• Support departments across the store (Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral).
• Handle perishable and salvage returns as needed.
• Adhere to safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by store leadership.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
