Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Courtesy Team Member to support store operations and customer service. You will gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to services, product handling, and customer interactions.

You will work with store departments, assist customers, and learn about merchandising, cleaning, and safety while delivering above-and-beyond service. Weekly pay and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Assist with parking lot, lawn, and interior trash collection.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Assist with basic store cleaning and restroom upkeep.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrances, lanes, and parking areas.
• Work with departments across Health/Beauty, Hardware, Fashion, Pets, and more.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
