Job summary

Wegmans in Montvale, NJ is seeking a Front End Customer Service Team member to ensure customers end their shopping trips with a positive experience. You will engage customers in friendly conversation, handle bagged items, and keep the parking lot clear and safe for everyone.

Responsibilities include maintaining parking lot appearance, gathering carts, and offering help during weather events while expressing appreciation for shopping at Wegmans.

As a member of the Front End Customer Service Team, you will make sure customers end their shopping trips with a positive experience. Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes standing, walking for long periods, bending, pushing and pulling, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at regular cash register station (see Cashier).The average weight range of items lifted, pushed, or pulled is 20 – 35 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is mostly outdoors with seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include shopping carts, Billy Goat, Mart Cart, snow blower, shovel, property maintenance equipment.
