Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Carrier Builder - Weekend Daylight to join our team in Middlesex, NC!This is a weekend daylight position that will work 6 am - 6:30 pm, Friday - Sunday. You will be compensated for a 40-hour work week.The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:In this position you will be completing hands on work to support production and the facilities key manufacturing processes. The person in this position will be responsible completing carrier repairs for all the braiding cells in the facility. This position is also responsible for ensuring carrier tension changes and carrier rebuilds meet operations needs and timelines.In this role, you will:Disassemble braiding carriers, complete necessary visual inspections of parts, and reassemble carriers to working conditionTroubleshoot carrier failures during repairs (e.g. during tension changes/rebuilds)Change tension of carriers by interchanging carrier springs based on run orderCoordinate with production to meet carrier tension needs and carrier rebuild demandProactively plans work and holds oneself accountable to meet needs of operationsWill use tools such as drill press, angle grinder, basic hand tools, power hand tools (e.g. plyers, allen wrench, screw drivers)Works collaboratively with Operations and ATS across different shifts to make sure carrier needs are metCollaborates with braiding operators and uses carrier tracking sheets to determine if carrier rebuilds are neededUses e-factory to track carrier run timesMaintains a safe working environment. Abides by all safety requirements. Designs safety into every process and activity.Drives continuous improvement through CI practicesFollows Eaton code of ethics, harassment free workplace policy, and leadership model to help create a respectful and high performing work environmentQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.Minimum of 3 years of experience using measurement and hand tools (i.e. calipers, gauges, hand saws, grinders, wrenches)Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or mechanical work experienceEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
