Job summary

Carpet Tech is hiring a Carpet Cleaning Technician for our McKinney location. You will work with seasoned Crew Chiefs to clean carpets, rugs, upholstery, tile, stone, and hardwood floors using state-of-the-art equipment. The role offers training, mentoring, and opportunities for advancement in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Starting pay is $18-$20 per hour. Benefits include uniforms, a 401(k) with company match, employee discounts, comprehensive training, and performance-based bonus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of manual labor experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with customers and employees.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Crew Chiefs to provide high-quality carpet, rug and upholstery, and tile cleaning on homes and businesses.
• Learn cutting-edge clean carpet cleaning methods, including state-of-the-art equipment and chemical use.
• Interact with customers and co-workers by being polite, helpful, friendly, and professional.
• Be on-call for emergency water extraction and cleanup after flooding and fire.
• Cross-train in other functional areas to cover assisting with larger jobs when necessary.
• Make confident and accurate decisions regarding the use of equipment, tools, material, and manpower.
• Take personal pride in a job well done, ensuring customers are happy with your work.
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
