Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for NC Trade and Industrial Education – Construction license (License #74026).
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of industry experience; OR
• Associate Degree with at least 4 years of industry experience; OR
• High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of industry experience.
• Preferred related degrees: Carpentry, Construction Management, Building Construction.
• Experience in construction trades and ability to teach and engage students.

Responsibilities

• Teach students fundamental and advanced carpentry skills.
• Deliver hands-on training and align with district/state curricula.
• Implement safety procedures and proper tool usage in shop.
• Prepare students for industry‑recognized certifications and entry-level roles.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organized learning environment in classroom and workshop.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and the community to support learning.
