Carpentry Helper / Woodworker – Newark, CA

Pay rate: $19.50–$25 per hour. Possible temp-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer and company drawings to manufacture parts using woodworking equipment.
• Operate machinery including circular saws, drill press, band saw, drum/disc sanders, chop saw, nail guns, screw guns and forklift.
• Pack and ship product per customer specific requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret product drawings/blueprints.
• Must be able to read and interpret tape measures and other similar measuring devices.
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate various hand tools.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Lift, lower, push, and pull up to shoulder height 70 lbs without assistance.
• Lift to a height of 42” up to 140 lbs with the assistance of another person.
• Physically able to properly use safety equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, face shields, steel-toed boots, chaps, support gloves, dust masks, hearing protection, etc.
