Job summary

Archadeck Outdoor Living is seeking construction professionals with established carpentry expertise to lead residential building and remodeling projects. You will deliver finished products per contract specs, customer expectations, and local codes, while following documented processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating crews, reviewing drawings, managing materials and schedules, and maintaining safety and quality on site. Excellent communication and work ethic are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a thorough background in carpentry techniques for exterior and interior work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and take-offs.
  • Experience laying out footings and foundations, and determining elevations.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employees to understand and work from construction drawings per details.
  • Check drawings against design to ensure accuracy and adequacy of information.
  • Verify materials against take-off and report shortages for timely delivery.
  • Establish and follow project schedule with the franchisee.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe job site and positive customer relations.
  • Refer issues to the franchisee for resolution and contact them as needed.

Job description

We are Archadeck Outdoor Living, North America’s leading designer and builder of outdoor living spaces such as decks, porches, sunrooms, hardscape patios, and shade structures.

We seek construction professionals with established carpentry expertise to work on our residential building & remodeling projects. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the contract specifications, customer expectations, building officials, and the Archadeck franchise. Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic and the ability to follow our documented processes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate your employees to ensure they understand and work to construction drawings in compliance with the specified details
  • Check construction drawings with sales design drawings to ensure adequacy and accuracy of information
  • Check materials delivered against take-off and inform franchisee of shortages to allow for the prompt delivery of missing items and uninterrupted workflow
  • Establish and follow a schedule with the franchisee
  • Maintain an orderly job site by cleaning up daily and assuring safety practices are utilized
  • Maintain positive relations with customers
  • Refer all problems to the franchisee for resolution
  • Contact franchisee if necessary to resolve immediately
  • Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed
Qualifications
  • Clean and neat appearance

  • Willing to learn and follow documented processes
  • Ability to work specified details and quality assurance checklist independently
  • A thorough background in good carpentry techniques, framing, and trim, exterior and interior, the foundation through roof
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and check take-offs
  • Ability to lay out footings or foundations
  • Ability to determine elevations

Compensation: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
