Job summary

Artec Custom Wood LLC is seeking a motivated Carpenter Assistant to join our team in Hialeah, FL. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the craft of custom woodworking alongside skilled professionals.

You will assist lead carpenters with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood materials, support the fabrication and installation of cabinetry, and help prepare and maintain job sites and tools while following safety protocols. Prior carpentry experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior carpentry or construction experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor throughout the day.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead carpenters with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood materials.
• Support the fabrication and installation of custom wood pieces and cabinetry.
• Prepare and maintain job sites, tools, and equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and supplies as needed.
• Sand, finish, and prep wood surfaces for final installation.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Take direction from senior carpenters and complete tasks efficiently.
