Job summary

Presidential Exteriors in New Jersey seeks a skilled Carpenter/Installer to join as a Service Technician. You will install roofing, siding, windows, doors, and trim, ensuring precise fit and finish while upholding safety standards.

The role is in-person and field-based, with competitive pay between $40,000 and $70,000 plus incentives. You’ll work Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, based in New Jersey, serving residential customers with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing or servicing exterior remodeling products—windows and doors especially.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and comfort working on ladders and at heights.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Professional, customer-first attitude and reliability in homes.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Comfort logging service visits via phone or app.
• Experience with roofing or siding service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install roofing, siding, windows, doors, trim, and other exterior remodeling products per standards.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials for proper fit and finish.
• Operate tools and equipment safely while keeping a clean job site.
• Collaborate with project managers and crews to complete projects on schedule.
• Identify and communicate site issues or material shortages for timely resolution.
• Perform demolition, site prep, framing and finish carpentry as needed.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety procedures throughout installations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and treat homeowners with respect.

What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you're the face of Presidential Exteriors after the sale — the person who makes sure every product we install performs and looks exactly as it should.

• Install roofing, siding, windows, doors, trim, and other exterior remodeling products according to company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision to ensure high-quality workmanship and proper fit and finish.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely while maintaining a clean and organized job site.
• Collaborate with project managers and installation crews to complete projects efficiently, on schedule, and within quality expectations.
• Identify and communicate job site issues, material shortages, or structural concerns to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform demolition, site preparation, framing, and finish carpentry as needed for residential remodeling projects.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety by following OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by treating homeowners and their property with professionalism, respect, and care throughout the installation process.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active, field-based role. Candidates should be able to lift and carry materials, climb and work from ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
