Job summary

MechaForce in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced carpenter to construct, repair and install structures and fixtures from wood and other materials. You will read blueprints and follow technical plans, using hand and power tools on a variety of projects.

The role requires at least 2 years of carpentry experience, fluent English, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Accommodation is provided for the first 3 months, and relocation is encouraged for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Must have own hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must be able to read blueprints and follow technical plans accurately.
• Experience with various hand and power tools such as saws, drills, sanders.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood or other materials.
• Install structures such as windows, frames, flooring, roofing or trim.
• Repair or renovate existing structures by replacing damaged parts or fixing structural issues.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment when necessary.
• Read blueprints, drawings and technical plans to determine project specifications.
