UPMC is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform rough and finished carpentry in hospital environments, including millwork and casework. You will construct and maintain wood structures, adhere to infection control and safety standards, and record work orders daily.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or journeyman training, plus related experience. A valid driver’s license and Act 34 clearance are required.

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of an industry recognized three-year apprenticeship program in carpentry or, equivalent on-the-job training, plus two additional years experience as a journeyman carpenter. Must be skilled with the use of all woodworking tools. This training includes such skills as blueprint reading, shop arithmetic, knowledge of strength of materials and their characteristics. Knowledge of building codes is essential.
