Job summary

Perform duties and responsibilities associated with the carpentry/construction trades, including proper and safe use of tools, maintenance, fabrication, installation, and interpretation of construction blueprints. You will plan take-offs and order materials as needed, while reporting issues to supervision.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid North Carolina driver’s license is required prior to start date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in carpentry/maintenance preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read construction blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in carpentry/construction trades, including use of tools and fabrications.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints and job descriptions.
• Plan materials take-offs and initiate material purchases as needed.
• Maintain and repair campus facilities with safety and quality.
