Job summary

Ausland Group is seeking carpenters for projects in Southern Oregon. Responsibilities include constructing and repairing structures using wood, plastics, concrete, and steel, with emphasis on framing, finishes, and exterior enclosures.

Ability to work within a commercial crew and adhere to safety standards is essential. The work is location-based in Southern Oregon, with compensation dependent on experience and prevailing wage considerations.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level carpentry experience; apprenticeship completion is desirable but not mandatory.
• At least two years carpentry apprenticeship training or equivalent commercial carpentry experience.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Strong math and geometry skills for construction calculations.
• Familiarity with layout tools and rough framing methods.
• Knowledge of basic building codes related to carpentry.
• Hands-on experience with common hand tools and power saws.
• Ability to commute to varied work sites and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Understand carpentry methods across wood, plastics, concrete, and steel.
• Experience in commercial construction crews.
• Measure, take-off quantities, and organize materials for activities.
• Layout and construct rough framing including roofs and stairs.
• Cut and shape lumber; join materials with fasteners and adhesives.
• Build temporary structures and install exterior enclosure components.
• Operate standard construction tools and ensure safety restraints are used.
