Job summary

Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego is seeking a skilled Carpenter to build, maintain and repair wooden structures throughout the luxury property. You will work with cabinets, bed frames, doors, trim, and fixtures, ensuring craftsmanship meets our high standards.

Required are at least three years of carpentry experience, ability to read blueprints, and a valid driver’s license. The role offers comprehensive benefits, on-site perks, and opportunities to grow within the Fairmont network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three years carpentry experience or equivalent.
• Experience as a Finished Carpenter preferred.
• Working knowledge of tools commonly used in carpentry shop.
• Ability to read and understand technical literature and blueprints.
• Valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
• Material Handling Equipment certification as required.

Responsibilities

This position will build, maintain, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard and other related items within the property.

• Maintain and repair all structures made of wood including cabinets, bed frames, doors, chairs chair, crown molding and furniture.
• Assess property needs and create products as required.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware.

• Participate in show and production fabrication as directed by the Chief Engineer or the Engineering Manager.

Wage Information
