Amentum is hiring a Carpenter in Colorado Springs to read blueprints and perform both rough and finish carpentry on base facilities. The role covers framing, installation of doors and windows, and finishing touches, with travel up to 10% and a day shift schedule.

Position Title: Carpenter

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Relocation Assistance: None available at this time

Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position

Clearance Type: DoW Secret

Shift: Day shift

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project needs.
• Measure, cut, shape, and join wood, plastic, drywall, and other building materials.
• Perform rough carpentry, including framing walls, partitions, floor systems, and roof structures.
• Perform finish carpentry, such as hanging doors, installing windows, molding, cabinets, and hardware.
• Furniture systems demolition, installation, removal, and reconfiguration
• Carpet and cove base replacements
• Ceiling grid repair/reconfiguration
• Tracking and updating work orders in a Windows based system
• Other tasks assigned such as occasional escorting of subcontractors and suppliers, assist facility operations and maintenance as required

Successful candidate will:

• Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project needs.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as work independently
• Have a strong ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate drawing redlines
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members

The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies.

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 8 , or more, years of experience with common carpentry tasks and tools
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must have, or obtain, an active DoW Secret Security Clearance

Compensation Details:

$24.03/hr – $36.05/hr
