Job summary

Universal Windows Direct in Durham, NC is seeking an Installer to handle accurate installation of windows, doors, siding and gutters at customers’ homes. You will uphold our brand and ensure customer satisfaction, while maintaining a clean worksite.

Candidates should have 5+ years of carpentry or renovation experience, own their equipment, and possess valid insurance and a driving record. This is a 1099 subcontractor role with a focus on quality workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of carpentry, trim carpentry, construction, or in-home renovation experience.
• Ability to take accurate measurements using tape measure, level and combination square.
• Valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Own equipment and ability to use power tools (drill, jigsaw, etc.).

Universal Windows Direct - 1099 Subcontrators Window, Doors, Siding and Gutters

The Installer is responsible for the accurate and professional installation of all our products at the job site according to our procedures and to the customer’s satisfaction. He/ She will maintain the positive image, brand, and reputation of Universal Windows Direct.

Responsibilities

• Provide remodel expertise in areas of windows, doors, siding, and gutters. A majority of our business is windows, so we require experience with replacement windows.
• Maintain a pleasant and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
• Respect customers’ property and leave the work area clean.
• Inform customers about the functionality, care and upkeep of their new installations.
• Accurately complete and submit all necessary paperwork, photos, or other required documentation.

Qualifications

• General liability insurance and workers compensation insurance or ability to obtain.

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
