Job summary

Weirestoration is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join their team in Baltimore, Maryland. This full-time position involves carpentry work in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia metropolitan area, primarily focusing on historic restoration projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of carpentry experience, possess basic carpentry tools, and preferably have experience with historic properties. A competitive pay and full benefits package, including health and paid time off, will be offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience.
• Experience working on historic properties is preferred.
• Must provide your own basic carpentry tools.

Responsibilities

• Mark cutting and assembly lines using pencils, chalk, and marking gauges.
• Shape materials to precise measurements using saws, chisels, planes, and related tools.
• Assemble cut and shaped materials using nails, dowels, pins, or adhesives.
• Install commercial window frames, doors, and interior/exterior hardware.
• Perform restoration of wood cornices, doors, windows, and other wood components.

Skills

Experience as a carpenter

Ability to perform Dutchman repairs

Knowledge of restoration techniques
