Job summary

Beech Island – Carpenter Helper 3 position in Beech Island, SC. Assist journeymen with planning, lay-out and installation of forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts for concrete structures in accordance with plans, specs and codes.

Minimum 2 years in carpenter craft as a helper; NCCER Core Curriculum or equivalent craft training preferred. Safety-driven team environment with emphasis on quality workmanship and adherence to project specs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in the carpenter craft or similar craft as a helper.
• Developing knowledge of industrial carpenter's craft including fabrication and erection of forms and placing, finishing and sealing concrete.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen in laying out work and learn to perform layout independently.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts.
• Help pour concrete into finished forms and ensure surfaces meet specifications.
• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-job safety discussions and stop-work when needed.
