Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is currently seeking a Carpenter Helper for the West Bartow Water Reclamation Facility in Kingston, GA. The Carpenter Helper will assist carpenters by constructing, erecting, and installing wooden structures on heavy civil projects and other sites.

Responsibilities include measuring, marking guidelines, preparing and installing wooden structures, assisting with awnings or metal decking as needed, and using carpentry tools.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may stand, bend, kneel or sit for long periods.
• Must communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drainage, highway structures, walls, and additional structures.
• May assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.

Overview Arncher Western is currently seeking a Carpenter Helper for the West Bartow Water Reclamation Facility , in Kingston, GA . The Carpenter Helper constructs, erects, installs structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; provides assistance to other Carpenters on the jobsite.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drain structures, highway structures, walls, and additional structures
• May assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed)
• Uses carpenter’s belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery

RESPONSABILIDADES
