Job summary

Precision Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking a on-site helper to assist carpenters with a variety of duties on Southeast projects. You will help place concrete, erect scaffolding, set lasers and grades, and assist with routine tasks to maintain a safe, efficient job site.

Responsibilities include supporting carpenters, transporting materials, cleaning equipment, and helping with form alignment and cutting under supervision. Safety and teamwork are essential on every project.

Responsibilities

• Understand all carpenter needs.
• Assist carpenter in construction.
• Place concrete and vibration.
• Setup laser & grades.
• Cutting (supervised).
• Clean work areas machines, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Fasten timbers or lumber with glue, screws, pegs, or nails and install hardware.
• Perform tie spacing layout and measures, mark, drill or cut.
• Select tools, equipment, or material from storage and transport items to work sites.
• Drill holes in timbers or lumber.
• Cut timers, lumber, or paneling to specified dimensions.
• Positions and hold timers, lumber, or paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
• Align, straighten, plumb, or square forms for installation.
• Hold plumb bobs, sighting rods, or other equipment to aid in establishing reference points and lines.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, or braces.
• Assist with shoveling, stripping forms, carry materials, inventory of hardware, jobsite cleanup.
