Job summary

Intrepid is seeking a Carpenter/General Maintenance Technician in the United States to perform carpentry, remodeling, and demolition tasks per designs and codes, including stairs, floors, doors, and roofs. You will read blueprints and sketches to plan efficient work in a demanding environment.

This role requires five years of carpentry and maintenance experience, Journeyman or Master certification preferred, a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five years’ experience in Carpentry and General Maintenance.
• Journeyman or Master certified carpenter preferred.
• Experience with power tools, power saws, cranes, drills, etc.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints, sketches, and modification orders to plan the process and layout.
• Constructs, repairs, restores and installs floors, doors, windows, stairways, furniture and cabinets.
• Builds forms, frames, ceilings and roofs with lumber, plywood and related materials.
• Fabricates items according to designs, blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Repairs or reconstructs damaged wood stairs, floors, frames, rafters, joists and trusses.
• Repairs doors, roofs, ceilings, stairs, floors, windows and roll-up doors.
• Cleans equipment, shop area and work site area.
• Observes OSHA/ES&H and fire regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As the Carpenter/General Maintenance Technician you will perform carpentry work such as fabricating items according to designs, blueprints, drawings and sketches. You will also be responsible for carpentry repair or reconstruction work on items such as damaged wood stairs, floors, frames, rafters, joists, and trusses to ensure conformity with building codes. Repair doors, roofs, ceilings, stairs, floors, windows, and roll-up doors.The Carpenter will manage the performance of a wide variety of carpentry related tasks, including new construction, remodeling, renovation, and demolition.
