J&R A-Z Home Renovations LLC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Carpenter/Finisher to join our onsite team and deliver high-quality interior and finishing work for home renovation projects. You will measure, cut, fit, install wood components for interior renovations, finish surfaces to clean lines, and read basic plans to meet specifications.

Maintain a safe, organized worksite and coordinate with team to hit production timelines.

J&R A-Z Home Renovations LLC is seeking a Carpenter/Finisher to join our onsite team in Buffalo, NY and deliver high-quality interior and finishing work for home renovation projects.

Position Summary

The Carpenter/Finisher is responsible for building, installing, and finishing interior components to support complete, polished results on residential renovation projects. This role combines skilled carpentry with careful attention to detail to ensure work is accurate, durable, and aligned with project specifications.

You’ll collaborate with the team and follow job plans and standards to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional worksite.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, fit, and install wood and other building materials for interior renovations and finishing scopes.
• Finish surfaces and trim work to achieve clean lines, consistent alignment, and a professional appearance.
• Read and interpret basic plans, measurements, and job specifications to complete assignments accurately.
• Assist with preparation tasks such as layout, staging materials, and ensuring the work area is ready for each phase.
• Maintain jobsite organization and follow safety practices to support a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with carpentry and/or finishing work in residential construction or renovation.
• Ability to use common carpentry tools and accurately measure, cut, and assemble components.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, consistent work.
• Ability to follow instructions, job specifications, and established procedures.
• Ability to perform job tasks that may include standing, lifting, bending, and working in active construction environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience completing trim, cabinetry-adjacent finishing, or other detailed interior carpentry scopes.
• Familiarity with common renovation site processes, including preparation, cleanup, and quality checks.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with team members and meeting production timelines.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $18
