Job summary

Sleeping Dog Properties, Inc. is a Boston-based design-build firm seeking up to 5 experienced Carpenters for downtown Boston projects. We offer a dynamic residential construction environment with emphasis on quality finishes and client service.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in carpentry, be able to read plans, generate stock lists and draw details for custom parts. Benefit packages include PTO, health/dental/vision, gym reimbursement, 401K with employer matching,

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry skills with experience in residential construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Generate stock lists and place orders for materials.
• Draw details for custom parts and attachments as needed.
• OSHA-10 safety certification is preferred or can be earned.

Responsibilities

• Set up job-sites with required tools and equipment.
• Keep job-sites clean and debris-free.
• Maintain and store equipment securely at day end.
• Wear PPE at all times on site (glasses, ear protection).
• Provide guidance and supervision for apprentices and laborers.

SDP is actively seeking to hire up to 5 experienced Carpenters.

General Job Description:

Must know all areas of carpentry skills or has emerging strength in the carpentry category.

• Sets up job-sites in the morning with the proper tools and equipment needed for that day
• Keeps job-sites clean and debris-free
• Cleans equipment as needed and securely stores equipment at end of day
• Wears personal protective gear including, but not limited to, safety glasses and ear protection at all times on the job.
• Provides guidance and supervision for apprentice carpenters and laborers
• Practices responsible tool care and maintenance
• Positively represents the company through all interactions including with co-workers, vendors and
• subcontractors.
• Accomplishes the work of the jobs/projects.
• OSHA-10, We will certify you
• RRP a plus, We will certify you

All general carpentry skills, plus the following

• Read and build from plans
• Generate stock lists and place orders
• Draw details as needed for custom parts and attachments

Minimum 2 plus years experience
