EXOVATIONS is hiring a Carpenter I to install decks, porches, windows, and doors in the Atlanta area. The role emphasizes teamwork, learning company products, and delivering quality installations with safety and efficiency in mind.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $18 to $22 per hour and eligibility for bonus and a 401(k) with company match. Strong reading of blueprints and physical stamina are expected.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and codes.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Willingness to perform physical outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Install decks, porches, windows and doors as directed by leads.
• Learn and operate EXOVATIONS tools and equipment.
• Keep jobsite clean and materials organized daily.
• Read blueprints and install to spec; travel as needed for sites.
• Assist Lead Carpenter and other senior carpenters as required.

POSITION SCOPE:

The EXOVATIONS of Atlanta, LLC (EXO)'s Carpenter position plays a vital role in the installation of decks, porches, windows, and doors. Carpenters are valued members of a team to provide the best customer experience possible. Carpenters are provided opportunities to learn and grow within a four-tiered process, and are expected to be team players and self-motivated.

CARPENTER I (C1) - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ABILITIES:

• Becomes familiar with all power/pneumatic tools used by EXO
• Keeps the jobsite clean and material organized daily
• Keeps truck and tools organized daily
• Gains proficiency in installation of all EXO products
• Offers to help others as needed
• Learns to read blueprints and understands code
• May travel by car/truck or other modes of transportation to perform essential duties of position
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead Carpenter (LC), other management personnel or more senior level Carpenters

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• All physical requirements are performed for the duration of an 8-10-hour shift.
• Wears personnel protective equipment as required; safety glasses, dust mask, gloves, safety harness to be used above 4 ft and regular ladder and tool checks
• Physical and mental ability to operate company vehicles and associated equipment
• Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous outdoor duties including walking, standing, climbing, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulders, sitting, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity
• Ability to climb ladders for extended periods of time
• Ability to carry heavy objects
• Ability to lift 100 pounds regularly
• Good fine motor skills, coordination, range of motion and grip strength
• Ability to work in all climate conditions
• Ability to be exposed to loud noise levels
• Ability to use power tools and pneumatic tools, as well as hand tools:
• skill saws, miter saws, nail guns, Sawzall, general carpentry tools.
• Ability to work in an environment containing dirt, grease, and dust
• Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and heavy equipment
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to effectively interact with others internally and externally
• Ability to work with many different personalities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Correctable vision and hearing

Full-Time: Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $18 - $22 per hour
