Job summary

Under the direction of the Manager and LEAD Carpenter, the incumbent adjusts, repairs, builds and maintains all furniture and wood products throughout the property. The role performs preventive maintenance on all wood items and furniture, builds shelving and cabinets, and keeps detailed logs.

It also involves constructing and repairing structures per codes, while maintaining safety and professional relations.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager and LEAD Carpenter the incumbent adjusts, repairs, builds and maintains all furniture and wood products throughout the property.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs all preventive maintenance on all wood products and furniture.
• Builds shelving and cabinets, temporary structures, repairs furniture.
• Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
• Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, metal, and wall board in accordance with applicable building codes, oral instructions or specifications.
• Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Performs all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.
