Job summary

Windham Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking an experienced carpenter to perform trades on hospital buildings, furnishings and fixtures. You will read prints, plan layouts and construct or repair structures to support patient care and maintenance.

With 8–10 years of trade experience and a valid CT driver's license, you will work on high-tech facilities and contribute to a safe, well-functioning environment for staff and patients across Northeastern Connecticut.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years trade related experience.
• Ability to read prints and plan layouts.
• Knowledge of hospital carpentry and safety practices.

Qualifications

Experience

• 8-10 years trade related experience.

Licensure/Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut drivers license.
• Duties require a broad knowledge of the carpentry trade or equivalent vocational training equivalent to a high school education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

• Maintains, repairs and constructs hospital buildings, structures and furniture built of a wide variety of materials to ensure good appearance and optimal functioning.
• Construct partitions, hang doors, install lock-sets, install drop ceilings, also sheet-rocking and taping.
• Read prints, plan lay out and construct according to hospital needs.
