Windham Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform carpentry on hospital buildings, furnishings, equipment and fixtures as needed. Requires 8–10 years of trade-related experience and a valid Connecticut driver's license; duties include reading prints, planning layouts, constructing partitions, hanging doors, installing drop ceilings, sheet-rocking and taping.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years trade-related experience in carpentry.
• Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
• Broad knowledge of the carpentry trade or equivalent vocational training to a high school education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and construct hospital buildings, structures and furniture built of a wide variety of materials to ensure good appearance and optimal functioning.
• Construct partitions, hang doors, install lock-sets, install drop ceilings, also sheet-rocking and taping.
• Read prints, plan lay out and construct according to hospital needs.

Experience

• 8-10 years trade related experience.

Licensure/Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut drivers license.
• Duties require a broad knowledge of the carpentry trade or equivalent vocational training equivalent to a high school education.
