Job summary

Qualifications

Carpenter (Construction)

Position Overview

The Carpenter is responsible for performing advanced techniques in various areas of construction trades responding to emergency and non-emergency service jobs. Responsibilities include maintaining a fully stocked and prepared company vehicle to drive to work sites, preparing, maintaining and clearing work areas, and performing repairs per the scope of work and project manager direction.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in light carpentry, framing, drywall, paint, trim and all aspects of repair that is common with handyman work
• Prepare rooms / areas for work activities to include setting up staging areas, equipment and content protection
• Ability to provide direction to subcontractors
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to include securely storing equipment and supplies while not in use
• Interface with customers and relay information to Project Manager or Superintendent when appropriate
• Complete paperwork, upload documents, and provide job updates into database as needed
• Complete punch list items with attention to detail
• Maintain equipment in clean and working condition
• Ensure the company vehicle is fully stocked at all times and travel to a nearby home improvement store to purchase needed items
• Monitor the safety, security, efficiency, and appearance of the company vehicle
• Monitor the safety, security and appearance of job sites
• Assist with demolition and general clean up as needed
