Job summary

This position is responsible for the construction, installation, and repair of walls, siding, commercial doors/windows, and roofs using materials such as steel, sheet metal, plastics and composites of multiple materials.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience
  • Travel: 10-25%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM, Monday- Friday. Overtime may be required. Schedule may vary and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints to build custom carts, pallets, crates, fixtures, and other material‑handling solutions for production lines and sub‑assembly areas.
  • Fabricate and assemble components using wood, plastic, steel, and metal, utilizing tools such as panel saws, miter saws, jigsaws, circular saws, drills, nail guns, and other standard hand and power tools.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Tooling teams to build prototypes and production‑ready fixtures.
  • Demonstrates ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Analyzes blueprints effectively.
  • Cleans and maintains workstation, tools and manufacturing environment.
  • Consistently follows workplace safety procedures and ensures manufacturing crews are working safely according to company policies.
  • Consistently completes tasks on time, within budget and in a safe manner.
  • Analyzes upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures and training needed to complete work in a safe manner.
  • Designs and builds wood shipping crates and packages for various projects throughout the facility.
  • Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
