Superior Construction is seeking a skilled construction laborer for field work on heavy civil projects in Florida. You will assist with formwork, concrete pours, and site tasks, read blueprints, use power tools, and help maintain safety and housekeeping on busy job sites.

Reliability, ability to work at heights, and a valid driver's license are preferred. This is a full-time, outdoor role with long hours and physical demands.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol.
• Must be reliable/have reliable transportation.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently.

Responsabilités

• Construct and set forms to grade; install overhang brackets; build handrails and remove/clean forms after placement of concrete.
• Erect metal and wood forms.
• Assist with concrete pours for Pier Footings, Columns, Caps and Bridge Decks.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, or plans to construct forms for Cast in Place (CIP) Concrete.
• Properly secure and store all tools, equipment, and materials at end of workday.

Summary/Objective

We recruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines in the construction field. A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any Superior Construction project.

Qualified applicants will have experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway or Bridge Projects. Applicant must be familiar with working from heights and/or Manlifts. Your role within the company will include participation in site safety, protection of the environment, and construction of exciting and challenging projects.

Essential Functions

Use of power and/or hand tools too; construct and set forms to grade, install overhang brackets, build handrails & remove/clean forms after placement of concrete.

Erect both Metal and Wood forms.

Assists with concrete pours for various structures including, Pier Footings, Columns, Caps and Bridge Decks.

Ability to Interpret blueprints, sketches, or plans to construct forms in preparation of Cast in Place (CIP) Concrete.

Must have proper knowledge of using and maintaining any type of power equipment required to fulfill job.

Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.

Properly secure and store all tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each workday.

Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.

Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This is field based role. Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Physical Demands

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work. Average +/-50 hours per week.

Travel

The role requires no travel.

Required Education and Experience

Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment. Must be reliable/have reliable transportation.

Preferred Education and Experience

Construction industry experience preferred. Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
