Myqlm in Orlando, FL is seeking a skilled Carpenter to frame walls, install wall boards and work on load-bearing structures both interior and exterior. The role focuses on precision and adherence to safety standards, requiring familiarity with common carpentry practices and tools.

The candidate will install cabinetry, shelving, drywall, and insulation while reading blueprints and coordinating with clients and trades.

Qualifications

• Proven carpenter with commercial rough/trim experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools (drills, chisels, saws, nail guns).
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes to be adhered to.
• Safety conscious and able to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work.
• Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation.
• Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures.
• Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job and sourcing wood according to budget and style.
• Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals.
• Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by others.

Pay Range

$22-$26 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work
• Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation
• Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
• Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
• Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals
• Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendation

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter
