Job summary

Pinkard Construction in Colorado is hiring a Carpenter to join our team. You will study blueprints, cut and fit materials, and assemble wood or metal frameworks on commercial and multifamily projects along the Colorado Front Range.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Study blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions of structure or form to be constructed.
  • Measure materials or distances, using square, measuring tape, or rule to lay out work.
  • Cut or saw boards, timbers, or plywood to required size, using handsaw, power saw, or woodworking machine.
  • Assemble and fasten material together to construct wood or metal framework of structure, using bolts, nails, or screws.
  • Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers
  • Mark cutting lines on materials, using pencil and scriber.
  • Erect forms, framework, scaffolds, hoists, roof supports, or chutes, using hand tools, plumb rule, and level.
  • Install door and window frames, subflooring, fixtures, or temporary supports in structures undergoing construction or repair.
  • Bore bolt holes in timber, masonry or concrete walls, using power drill.
  • Dig or direct digging of postholes and set poles to support structures.

  • Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds

CARPENTER COMPENSATION

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary range for this position will be $25.56 to $41 per hour (eligible for OT at 1.5 base rate) + Profit Sharing and Project-Based Incentive Bonus and Ownership through the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, Journeyman certification, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

BENEFITS

Carpenters who desire a career in construction and have not attained their Journeyman certification are eligible to participate in the one to four-year CITC Carpenter Apprenticeship Program (length of program depends upon demonstrated skills gained during employment) to become a Journeyman Carpenter. This program is available at no cost to the employee.
