Job summary

Army Recruiting Ohio is seeking personnel for Carpentry and Masonry Specialist roles responsible for building essential Army structures using hand and power tools, lumber, concrete, stones, and bricks. You’ll also assist combat engineers in constructing structures to address rough terrain and environmental hazards.

The role requires U.S. citizenship or an eligible I-551 status, a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing background checks, drug screening, and health requirements.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a criminal background check with no open law violations.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• No felony.
• Must currently be in good health with no physical limitations.

As a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist, you'll have the skills needed to handle a variety of carpentry and masonry duties, building important structures for the Army using hand and power tools, lumber, concrete, stones, and bricks. You’ll also help combat engineers build structures to respond to rough terrain and environmental hazards.

Compensation:

Total compensation includes housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time.

Earn Cash For In-Demand Jobs:

You could earn up to $40,000 in cash bonuses just for enlisting under certain Military Occupational Specialties.
