OSHA 10-hour Card - OSHA: Occupational Safety and Health Administration; Work Environment The physical demands of this work are classified as medium to heavy. Work includes standing and walking for prolonged periods, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying, repetitive hand and arm movements, forceful grasping and pinching as well as assuming awkward postures in tight spaces. Work may include climbing as well as working on elevated surfaces. The average weight range of items lifted is 10 – 25 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of greater than 50 pounds occasionally. May receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment varies and may involve exposure to hot (exceeds 85°), cold (33° – 55°), and seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Work involves travel to various locations.
