To Be Successful In This Role

• Accountable for quality craftsmanship, with proven experience and a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent organization and time‑management skills to manage fast‑paced deadlines while respecting client space.
• Detail‑oriented, able to read precise specifications, measure materials accurately, and keep work areas clean and organized.

Essential Duties – First 30 Days and Ongoing

• Complete the onboarding program in the first week, including safety training, equipment training, CPR, and (if not completed) OSHA training.
• Demonstrate basic carpentry skills—cutting, drilling, nailing, and assembling materials to specifications.
• Install retail fixtures, cabinetry, millwork, refrigeration cases, and décor packages using finish carpentry skills.

By the 90‑Day Mark and Ongoing

• Guide a team of Assistant Carpenters in efficient material installation while following safe procedures.
• Create and maintain job schedules, ensuring work meets quality standards, original plans, and all deadlines.
• Demonstrate general safety knowledge, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain an accident‑free record.

Within the 6‑ to 12‑Month Mark and Ongoing

• Start running small projects by overseeing sub‑trades and carpenters, stepping in to work when needed.
• Communicate with clients, inspectors, and city officials daily to advance critical project steps.
• Show integrity, compassion, and empathy when dealing with clients, embodying the company culture.
• Display pride in work, encouraging the same work ethic in Assistant Carpenters.

Education, Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of carpentry experience required.
• 3+ years of retail carpentry experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of construction methods.
• Capable of performing general physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, use of hand tools).
• Previous experience in layout, planning, and execution of interior and exterior carpentry a plus.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Intermediate proficiency in ProCore is a plus.
• Valid CA driver’s license, good driving record, dependable transportation, and a clean background check required.
• Demonstrated record of working safely and adhering to safety standards.
• Ability to accommodate extended travel to work sites and overnight stays for up to 2 weeks.
