Job summary

Michigan Neurology Associates is seeking a part-time Carotid Doppler Technician to perform carotid ultrasound examinations and assist physicians in evaluating vascular conditions. The role reports to the Clinical Manager and requires strong ultrasound skills, patient care, and adherence to safety and imaging protocols.

The ideal candidate has vascular ultrasound experience, ARDMS/CCI certifications preferred, and a commitment to high-quality diagnostic imaging in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; accredited vascular ultrasound program preferred.
• RVT or RVS certification preferred; CPR/BCLS required.
• 1–2 years vascular or carotid ultrasound experience preferred.
• Proficient in ultrasound imaging, patient prep, and image/documentation.
• Ability to work in a clinical setting and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform carotid Doppler ultrasound studies with accuracy and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures and explain the process clearly.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Review images for clarity and diagnostic quality; document findings.
• Upload images and reports to the EMR and patient chart.
• Assist physicians with interpretation and follow-up imaging requests.
• Maintain OSHA and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
• Ensure all documentation and orders are complete for visits.
• Order and maintain ultrasound supplies as needed.
• Participate in continuing education and required meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and organizational policies.
