Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Welder/Process Fabrication Technician to perform welding, fabrication, layout, and repair work in support of site operations. The role requires reading blueprints, laying out steel and pipe configurations, and skilled welding (SMAW, MIG, TIG) with safe operation of cutting equipment.

You will maintain tools and documentation, collaborate across crews, and apply a strong safety and quality mindset to deliver reliable components for plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and pipe welding, fabrication, and repair work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Lay out and fabricate structural steel, pipe configurations, fittings, and transitions.
• Perform SMAW, MIG and TIG welding using applicable materials and procedures.
• Set up and operate plasma cutting and automated shape-cutting equipment.
• Safely operate fabrication equipment including presses, brake press, shear, ironworker, band saw, and drill press.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and conformance to requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Complete required work orders, material requisitions, and related documentation.
• Work collaboratively with other crews and departments to complete work safely and efficiently.
• Identify problems and contribute practical solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Welder with our Process Maintenance team. The Welder/Process Fabrication Technician performs welding, fabrication, layout, and repair work in support of site operations. This position uses a variety of welding processes, fabrication techniques, drawings, and shop equipment to safely produce quality components and repairs.
