Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Advanced Helper for the Carlin Surface Maintenance team. Join a collaborative mining operation focused on safety and high performance, where you’ll contribute to preventative maintenance, crane operations, and parts reading within a diverse, field-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Works as a team member.
• Actively pursues development of self and others.
• Preventative Maintenance - Change oil in all compartments, Grease the machines, Install filters.
• Operate forklifts; Operate overhead cranes; Identify and understand crane control; Verify capacity of equipment used to make the pick; Inspect audible and visual alarms; Inspect area of actual pick; Obtain proper rigging for lift; Select proper picking points; Proper attachment of rigging; Use a tag line if needed; Use proper controls for lift; Maintain proper positioning during pick; Inspect, clean and return crane control to storage area.
• Be able to identify correct parts in parts book; Read and understand service manuals; Have basic Ellipse skills; building & closing W/Os.
• Works effectively with other crews and departments.
• Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work practices.
• Respects others' work styles and ideas.
• Hydraulic - Change pumps.
