Job summary

Traditions-Management in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents with daily activities and to help maintain a safe, homelike environment where dignity and rights are respected.

You will follow each resident’s plan of care, assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting and mobility, encourage independence and social interaction, monitor well-being, and communicate with families and the care team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant or CNA program and current certification where required.
• Previous experience in senior care or healthcare preferred.
• Compassion, patience, and resident-centered approach.
• Strong communication, observation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks safely and provide support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents according to individualized plan of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Encourage resident independence and social interaction.
• Monitor residents’ well-being and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, homelike environment.
• Support residents during meals, including set-up, assistance, and social engagement.
• Follow safety, infection control, and privacy procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
