Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Brooklyn, Ft. Hamilton area. The successful candidate will support physicians and nurses by preparing patients and rooms, taking vital signs, drawing blood, and handling administrative tasks.

Strong EPIC EMR experience and clinical competencies are essential. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and optional certification from a recognized MA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
• Certification from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant organization preferred upon hire.
• English proficiency and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and Advanced Care Practitioners and nurses in patient care.
• Validate patient identifiers and prepare patients and rooms for examination.
• Record vital signs and collect lab specimens as needed.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, phone calls, and data entry.
• Transcribe encounters into EPIC and support patient flow and documentation.
