Job summary

Area Agency on Aging of Western Arkansas, Inc. seeks a caring Home Health Aide (HHA) to support patients in Paris and Booneville homes. You will assist with daily living activities, follow care plans, and help them stay independent, safe and comfortable.

Full-time and/or part-time roles with paid training, paid commute time, and a Monday–Friday schedule (up to 8 hours daily). Requirements: HS diploma, 75-hour HHA training, valid driver’s license, smartphone, and ability to use care apps.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a minimum 75-hour Home Health Aide (HHA) training course is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of state-required vehicle insurance.
• Must possess a smartphone with internet capabilities to perform functions of the position.
• Previous experience in home health care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans and report changes to the staff nurse promptly.
• Assist patients with personal care tasks and hygiene.
• Provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, and shopping support as needed.
• Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety.
• Know when to seek emergency assistance to ensure patient safety.
• Provide attentive care during shifts and maintain professional conduct.
• Attend in-service trainings to maintain knowledge and skills.
• Wear company ID badge and project a caring image.
• Use care apps for recordkeeping and communication as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
